HipHop Hook Up Review

Went to HipHop Hook Up last sunday at Esplanade. Freaky Z, Richard, Zul Mystro, Public Eyez and Styles From Beyond (SFB) were the acts lined up for the show and they were great. Freaky Z hosted da event and as usual he managed to crack up everyone der. from kids to adults. locals to foreigners. Well done Faz!

It was somehow lyke a Hiphop 101 to those peeps who are not sure wat is actualy hiphop which consist of 4 elements. some say 5. hmm. den again. There were mcs/rappers (Freakyz, Richard and P.E), dancers (SFB) and beatboxer(Zul Mystro). They were doin their element and added lil spice to it, they did da other element too. dancers turn mc/beatboxing, mc turn dancers/beatboxing, beatboxer turns mc. It was cool seeing each of them diverting out from their main element to try out da others.

Congrats to SFB fo coming in 1st place in Taipei for a dance competition held there last few weeks. Heard from a main source dat SFB will be goin to Las Vegas beginning of Nov fo a show. Well done guys and girl(Azura). Local talent we have here in SG. They worked so hard to get where they are now.
